Candidarsi solo se sicuri di poter partire a inizio aprile e di poter restare in Romania, Paese del progetto, sino a tutto settembre. Temi principali sono l'ambiente, lo sviluppo delle aree rurali e la cultura urbana. Altri volontari di vari Paesi saranno presenti in loco, quindi la motivazione a lavorare in team e in un ambiente internazionale é fondamentale. Come sempre, il viaggio A/R é rimborsato al 90%, mentre vitto e alloggio sono pagati in toto, cosí come l'assicurazione ed un corso base di lingua locale.

SHORT DESCRIPTION URBAL is a project that encourages urban culture in Oradea, Romania. The volunteers will explore different ways of cultural expression by organizing artistic events, such as: photography workshops, street art events, movie nights, exhibitions, etc.
PROJECT ENVIRONMNET The projects will take place in Oradea and the regions nearby, that means that the activities can take place both in urban and rural environment. Oradea is the capital city of Bihor County, in Cri?ana, Transylvania, Romania. The city has a population of 204,477. It is one of the more prosperous cities in Romania. Positioned on the Hungarian border, the city is home to the University of Oradea, one of the largest and most modern universities in the country. The city is beautiful and has many tourist attractions: a rich collection of Art Nouveau architecture, the fortress of Oradea, museums, theater, philarmonic and the neighborhood to Baile Felix. The population is composed mostly of Romanians (70%) and Hungarians (27%). There are also small communities of Roma, Hebrew ,Germans, Slovaks and Ukrainians. Visitors can come to Oradea by using car, bus, train or airplane.
PROPOSED ACTIVITIES FOR THE VOLUNTEER The volunteers will work in projects together with other young people, with different ethnicity, educational background and culture. Every volunteer will be encouraged to come up with new ideas and share his/her thoughts, to explore and develop his capabilities and skills. They will have the opportunity to learn Romanian language, learn about our customs and traditions and also to play an active role in the community where the project will take place. AIV will organize seminars where the volunteers will discuss how they can support their home community after participating to EVS. The volunteers will be involved in all the activities during all stages: planning, implementation and evaluation. The volunteer will have the following learning opportunities: - organizing and taking part in different campaigns regarding volunteering, nature conservation, sustainable development, social responsibility, human rights, inter-religious dialogue, social exclusion, EU citizenship, culture and arts. - Making documentaries - photography and plastic art exhibitions - Organizing trainings, workshops and seminars - Creating promotion materials - Creating web-sites, e-groups, etc. - Participating to study visits.
VOLUNTEER'S PROFILE The profile of the volunteers we are going to host is the following: -age between 18 and 30 years - minimum level of English -interested in working in our project and in having an international experience After receiving the CV and motivation letters, based on volunteers profile, there will be held interviews via Skype with the volunteers. The Sending organization will also be consulted.. The volunteers with less opportunities (social exclusion, economic difficulties,cultural and geographical differencies, less access to educational system) will have priority.
EXTRA SUPPORT FOR THE VOLUNTEER Before the volunteers arrival our association will discuss with a family doctor and a family dentist, to provide medical assistance during the project. We will organize a training to inform the volunteers about the AXA Insurance and other practical advices in order to make sure they will have a comfortable stay without any incidents. Each volunteer will receive a phone, so he/she could contact his mentor anytime they have questions or crisis situations, There will be held weekly meetings where the volunteers will present a report with the activities done during that week and also about the issues they were confronted with. If a part of the project will be held in rural communities the mayor and the police will be informed of their presence, so they could offer us all their support.
HOST ORGANISATION "Actiune in voluntariat" (Action in volunteering) is a young organization composed of active people who want to get involved in improving community life. Our goal is to open youg people eyes regarding today's society problems in a non-formal and informal way. There is a strong connection between AIV's objectives and the goals of EVS, such as "the involvement of young people", "fight against discrimination, "European awareness", "youth engagement in civil society". Our aim is to involve youngsters in Youth in Action , to create great projects and also to contribute to the promotion of this program. AIV association wishes to provide young people more opportunities to get involved in volunteering inside or outside the European Union, because these experiences are very important in their personal development and also in raising solidarity among EU citizens. The Association "Actiune in voluntariat " - "Action in volunteering" will implement projects with the following themes: - involvement of young people in volunteering, - the development of civil society, - promoting the concept of sustainable development and social responsibility, - promoting arts, - nature conservation, - combating discrimination of any kind. Our goal is to offer to young people the framework to develop themselves, to have an international experience by interacting with youngsters from other countries and to disseminate their accomplishments. |
