Come sempre per lo SVE (18 - 30 anni), il viaggio A/R é rimborsato al 90%, mentre vitto e alloggio sono pagati in toto, cosí come l'assicurazione. Previsto anche un pocket money mensile ed un breve corso di lingua locale. Se interessati, inviateci cv, motivation letter specifica (entrambi in inglese e su due file di testo distini) ed una vostra foto (su file immagine) attraverso l'apposito form entro il 29 giugno. PROJECT ENVIRONMENT The FJT is located in the north suburb of Tarbes. Youth benefit from the services offered to the locals of the suburb: media library, toy library, swimming pool, school circus, cultural and sports associations, museums… City of Tarbes is a part of the district planning authority "Le Grand Tarbes", with a population of 72 493 inhabitants. Head town of the Hautes-Pyrénées, it's located in the region Midi-Pyrénées, between Toulouse and Bayonne. Inhabitants in the south of Tarbes take advantage of a beautiful landscape at the bottom of the mountains, and a perfect view on the Pyrenees. Tarbes is crossed by the A64 highway, 1h15 from Toulouse and Bayonne. There's a railway station with TGV (High speed train) and TER (regional train), and an airport "Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées", 10 minutes from the city. Local economy is centered on aeronautic industries and train technologies. Tarbes is the second University-city of Midi-Pyrénées after Toulouse. It also develops its touristical interest around the Pyrenees and National Park.
PROPOSED ACTIVITIES FOR THE VOLUNTEERS We have nice experiences by hosting a volunteer at our place and we are willing to progress each year with the reception of a new young European volunteer. This reception is materialized by integrating to activities of the association. This project gives to our structure enrichment in the cultural exchanges, other views about our way to work and a new dynamic to the public and salaries of the association. By integrating the animation and reception team the volunteer will contribute to realize the different activities of the association. The objectives are the following: to support the meetings among the young people who stay at the youth hostel by creating a dynamic around the places of collective life, to propose the mobility of the young people, to make them sensible to the European dimension and to take part in the construction of Europe. The volunteer will be in contact with the youth who stay at the Youth Hostel and the youth who stay at the Foyer de Jeunes Travailleurs and with the employees. This proximity gives him/her the possibility to go further into his/her knowledge on the French culture, on the youth in general, on our professional practices (…). Moreover, the presence of the volunteer in our establishment will also be very beneficial for the youth and the employees because she/ he will be an example of successful mobility in Europe, thus that a source of important intercultural exchanges. Moreover he/she will find his/her place in the daily works and he will be able to bring his views and his competences for the implementation of these various activities with the animation team. Several places and tools are usable to implement the activities: - The bar/cafeteria : is a convivial space of meetings and exchanges for our public. The organizers and the volunteer ensure the management and the animation with the young people. Every month, there is a meeting where a committee of inhabitants thinks about, propose and decide which activities they would prefer. It is thus also a privileged place for the course of these activities. The presence of the volunteer will be able to support the intercultural exchanges and the implication of the young people in projects, activities, various means of expression… - The multi-media room : Have functioned for two years and the volunteer will be able to seize this tool to initiate projects with the young people by the help of new technologies : training of software and internet, making a web-site, work on the communication in connection with the realisation of posters, panels of information set of themes on the culture, health, Europe and The European Youth Programmes. The projects of realization of short films or photographs exhibition could be set up with the support of partners. - Activity hall : The inhabitants of the Youth Hostel and the Foyer are able to enter and use a room equipped with lights and sound, which could be perfect for music shows, theatre, or cine club. The volunteer, depending on its abilities and interests, will be able to make her/his proposal or to follow an existing project. - A touristical information area : for people welcomed in the Youth Hostel, but also for the inhabitants of the Foyer, has to be managed by the EVS. The new sight of the volunteer will also help to rediscover our touristical heritage. Moreover, participation in many different local events is scheduled: European day, Associations' meeting, information day about EVS… The volunteer will be an example of European mobility for the youth, the local collectivity and our different partners. This could give another interest for the EVS and Youth Program. A partnership with these organizations can be considered, depending on the EVS wills and interests, and on the local initiatives. Besides, a work in partnership with the organizations of reception of the conglomeration tarbaise: MJC of Aureilhan and MJC of Odos is envisaged, according to the skills and the centres of interests of every volunteer, their envy and the local initiatives.
PROJECT PLAN The reception of the volunteer will take place in several steps. In the firsts months the volunteer will likely incorporate the activities already scheduled with the animation team. This period should allow him/her to have a good sight of the Youth hostel and other services' functioning. Exchanges and links that will occurred after the meeting with the young users will help the volunteer to develop its capacities to express him/herself, and to have a better learning in French. Moreover, French curses especially for foreigners in a professional structure will help him/her to have a better understanding of French language. In a second time, we would like the volunteer to set up his/her own project. In the past EVS, one realized an exhibition about EVS in a big project with others associations, about European citizenship. Another one realized a short film with the users of the FJT and Youth Hostel. These different projects allowed the volunteers to build new skills while working on what they liked. These projects always gave a lot of satisfaction to the EVS. Depending on the projects, we'll try to help the volunteer as much as possible, giving them some curses relating to their projects : Video curses with local partner, colloquium about Europe… Any subject, tools and partnerships can be envisaged. Possibility to carry on with the past projects would also be a way to keep on giving some credits to the past EVS. Exhibition about EVS could be shown and animated in many others associations of the area in order to introduce EVS to other young people…
TIME AND WORK SCHEDULE Example of time schedule: The volunteer will work 5 days over 7, 35 hours a week, with 2 consecutive days off. Planning for example: Monday and Wednesday from 3h00pm to 7h00pm and 7h30pm to 10h30pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10h00 and 12h00am and 1 to 6pm, Friday 2h00 to 7h00pm, 7h30pm to 9h30pm. Of course, this planning is discussed with the volunteer at its arrival, and can be modified, depending on the wishes of the volunteer. Missions gave to the EVS will depend on its own capacities and skills. Example of a day : Monday: 3h00pm to 4h30pm Contact with touristical partners, management of the documentation ; 4h00pm to 6h00pm Work on the projects ; 6h00pm to 7h00pm reception of new inhabitants ; 7h30pm to 10h00pm Animation at the bar. Thursday : 10h00am to 12h00am language curses ; 12h30pm to 3h00pm work on the current projects ; 3h00pm to 6h00pm meeting with the animation team or evaluation moment.
CRITERIA AND RECRUITMENT PROCESS We would like to welcome a volunteer with relational abilities, creative and dynamic, who would like to work in a team. We will prefer a really motivated person, interested into animation with young people from 17 to 30. The profile of post will be available on the basis of data. We shall answer all the applications. A 1st selection will be realized: the candidates will receive by e-mail a questionnaire to be completed, phone conversations will be realized before the final selection.
HOST ORGANISATION ATRIUM FJT association has several services: Foyer des Jeunes Travailleurs service,- accomodation- Employment formation service, Animation service of the District the North. The association account 46 employees. The FJT aids youngs for their social and professional insertion. Beyond the access to an accommodation, the ATRIUM FJT association wants to support the potentialities of the young people and to help them to begin and to build the society of tomorrow. FJT is a place of welcome for the young people from 16 to 30 years old had to move to exercise their activity: working, school, apprentices, … The FJT gives young people a range of 100 type of accomodation (room, T1, T1bis). FJT offers to the residents: - Collective services (restaurant opened to all the members, the collective kitchen, the coin laundery, the car park under surveillance, the room television, multimedia room) - A social action: reception information orientation, help in the initiatives (APL, Loca Pass), advice and diverse support …. - Cultural and sports activities: cooking workshops, meal with subject, body-building room, artificial structure of climbing, … The young people involve in the life of the association with: - The council of house with elected residents by the young people of the FJT. This space allows dialogue with management and team. - The residents' Association (CASA) which organizes cultural, sports activities and demonstrations to maintain friendship and solidarity. The activity of the Youth Hostel takes place in the same building as the Foyer des Jeunes Travailleurs (FJT). It gives the best quality reception for the users of the Youth Hostel - reception in an open and animated space - accommodation in bedrooms of 2 to 4 beds with shower - Ability to use the socio cultural activities of the FJT (leisure activities, sports, outside spaces...) The Youth Hostel is a place where populations are mixing together. It's also a place where people can meet without social, political, religious or ethnic discrimination. To go in a FJT or in a Youth Hostel , to participate in the activities, is to open its mind to any culture, any customs. |
FJT é alla ricerca di nuovi volontari pronti a partecipare ad un consolidato progetto del Servizio Volontario Europeo che ha come location la cittá di Tarbes in Francia. Il progetto é della durata di un anno a partire da febbraio 2013. É richiesta la conoscenza almeno basilare del francese.
