Ti interessi di educazione, psicologia, sport, arte o lavoro sociale? Sei insegnante o disoccupato in cerca della tua strada? La National Association of Resource Teachers (NART) sta cercando urgentemente un volontario pronto a partire per 11 mesi per la Bulgaria aderendo ad un progetto del Servizio Volontario Europeo. Il progetto é giá stato approvato, quindi la persona selezionata avrá la certezza di partire.

Viaggio, vitto e alloggio: Come sempre per lo SVE (18 - 30 anni), il viaggio A/R é rimborsato al 90%, mentre vitto e alloggio sono pagati in toto, cosí come l'assicurazione. Previsto anche un pocket money mensile.

PROJECT ENVIRONMENT Sede del progetto é Stara Zagora, città della Bulgaria situata a circa 230 km dalla capitale Sofia e capoluogo della regione omonima. Il suo nome, tradotto in italiano, significa "vecchia città dietro la montagna". Situata nel centro della Bulgaria, nella così detta "Valle delle Rose", si caratterizza per la particolare pianta urbanistica, ideata dall'architetto jugoslavo Lubor Bayer: nella città, infatti, le vie sono dritte, non esistono curve. Detta "la città dei tigli e dei poeti", conta un numero di abitanti di poco superiore ai 160 mila.
VOLUNTEER'S MAIN TASKS Voluntary actions will be implemented in three types of protection: - School environment: These are schools, kindergartens and extracurricular activities for the education of children and young people with special educational needs in fulfilling our goal of integration and inclusion. This may include assistance to teachers to adapt and prepare appropriate educatinal curriculums for each child. Inclusion in various festivals, workshops and training of teachers, parents and volunteers. - Public activities: Activities aimed at participation in the organization of the various public meetings and discussions aimed at developing policy to integrate children and youth with disabilities. Preparation of informational materials and presentations. Help children and young people with special needs landmarks to visit cultural and social contacts. - Office activities: Support organization in the preparation of brochures, materials to schools, kindergartens and resource centers for the integration of children with special educational needs. Assistance in administration and contact with other members of the organization, participation in social networks and more. Participation in the preparation of project proposals and work with office equipment.
PROPOSED ACTIVITIES FOR THE VOLUNTEER Our volunteers will be included in all trainings that we provide our members and working in education and social services. They will practice by hands-on work to gain experience on the activities of resource teachers and other professionals who could then utilize this in their professional realization. Will gain valuable experience in contact with children and young people with different special needs. Our volunteers will support the organization in working with children and young people with special educational needs. They will participate in various events that will allow them to interact informally with our members across the country. We will collect and examine best practices in integration in Europe and then offer them to the attention of Bulgarian teachers and other professionals. They will participate in the development of Resource newsletter with useful information, which we dispatch to the country.
In what activities the organization will be included volunteer? - Training - Work directly with children and young people with special needs; - Office activities related to the preparation of information materials; - Collect a database of good practices on how integration and inclusion of children with disabilities in Europe. Our organization can provide everything needed for these activities. We have a small and friendly office, good relationships with many schools, kindergartens and NGOs in this area, which will also support volunteers. We are ready to support our volunteers in the implementation of our ideas about our goals and policies.
VOLUNTEER'S PROFILE We'd like to meet young students or recent graduates with current interest and/or experience in work with children, psychology, sports, arts, social work. Also young teachers who are unemployed or are not yet clear with what kind of career they would like to pursue, but are willing to work with children and young people with various disabilities.
HOST ORGANISATION National Association of Resource Teachers Bulgaria (NART) is a national NGO umbrella for professionals working for full and quality integration, inclusion and education of children with different abilities and needs in mainstream education. NART’s Mission in Bulgaria is to promote continuous improvement of the quality of education and social services in support of integration and inclusion of all children in Bulgaria. Bulgaria has over 500 current members that are resource teachers, psychologists, speech therapists throughout the country. We currently have office secretary working at our office that is equipped and linked to many partner resource teacher members throughout the country. We work in schools and kindergartens; our main idea is through our resource teachers to support inclusion of children and youth with special needs. We organize many extracurricular activities for children and youth with disabilities and activities with their parents and relatives . Among the activities are an art studio and various sports activities. Our organization works closely with the Resource Centers to support integrated education, where our members work and, therefore resource centers will be capable to support integrated training with the decision of the General Assembly provides us to use our office for joint activities. To this end the organization works with the United States Peace Corps, which also supports our activities with the organization for training and direct work with young people with disabilities. Our organization provides organized training, workshops, newsletter issue and maintains groups in social networks aimed to professionals in our field of interest. We work with Thracian University in Stara Zagora and assist the professional orientation of young people completing educational courses. |
