The cultural association “Scambieuropei” was established on December the 28th, 2009. The main purpose of the organization is finding opportunities for young Italian people to experience European (or extra-European) mobility, through the promotion of job offers, scholarships, internships, volunteering, and intercultural exchanges. Our work puts a special accent on young people, because we strongly believe in the importance of the youngsters for the building of a real European feeling, based on concrete action as our national campaign against unpaid internships (www.facebook.com/#!/manifestodellostagista). We have been working within the Youth in Action Programme for the last 2 years, firstly just by sending our members abroad, then organizing projects by using the skills we gained. Thanks to the Youth in Action programme we have the possibility to broaden the experience of the local associations we work with, by giving them the opportunity to take part in international projects along with partners that operate in the same field. Since January 2011, we are also EVS (European Voluntary Service) promoter and we work as information point. In summer 2011 we partly transformed our website in a online magazine to give the chance to our members to share their experiences around the world. Finally, in January 2012 we started a cooperation with the Province of Fermo (the local administration of our territory) in order to improve its “european dimension” by giving new chances to local youngsters for participating in international projects. |
